Rosebank School’s mission is to create a community of students, faculty, and parents working together so that everyone achieves more. Therefore, the following parent involvement policy was developed by parents and school staff in response to feedback from parent surveys and discussion groups at the school. The policy is aligned with the District Title I Parent Involvement Policy.
- All parents will be invited to provide input in the development, implementation, and assessment of the goals and strategies of the Rosebank School Improvement Plan.
- All parents will be provided with many opportunities to become involved in communication with the school regarding improvement through the School Parent
- Advisory Committee, the P.T.A., P.A.S.S. meetings, as well as other organized parent groups.
- All parents will receive frequent student and school progress reports including skill proficiency, attendance, behavior and effort. Parents will be’ surveyed for suggestions, including barriers, regarding such progress, and schools will respond to suggestions in a timely manner.
- Rosebank School’s staff and parents will develop strategies for improving the percentage of parents reporting a positive and welcoming environment in the school.
- Parents will be offered opportunities to improve their parenting skills and skills in supporting student learning through P.A.S.S. workshops, community programs, and the advisory team.
- Rosebank will align all parent involvement strategies with the District Title Parent Involvement strategies.
- At the annual meeting, all parents will be notified of their rights and responsibilities under the No Child Left Behind Act, including staff qualifications, school choice, Supplemental Services, and input for improvement.
- Meeting times and sites will vary to accommodate parent needs. Written communication will be provided in an understandable format and language.
Rosebank welcomes suggestions for improvement. Please feel free to offer your ideas by completing a form in our “Suggestion Box” located in the foyer of the building.
